Ahrefs Lite lists at US$129 a month and Semrush Pro at US$119. A great deal of what that buys is global: a backlink index, a content explorer, keyword databases for markets you will never sell into. The number a Moncton business actually needs is narrower and stubbornly local — where do you come up when somebody in Moncton searches for what you do?

A rank is not a single number. It is a number for a place. “Third for plumber” means nothing until you say third in Moncton, and the same query run from Dieppe, Riverview or Shediac can return a different set of results again. That is what a local pack does.
So the part of an international SEO suite you are really using, if you sell within an hour of here, is the part scoped to your own city. Find Me First does technical-SEO auditing, rank tracking, AI auto-fix and Google Business Profile management, and bills C$29 or C$49 a month for it.
Find Me First is built, hosted and supported from New Brunswick by RKP Atlantic Business Services, whose office is about half an hour east of Moncton and which is a member of the Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce. Support runs on Atlantic time, which for once is your time.
The billing is in Canadian dollars, so there is no conversion on the invoice and no month where the price moves because the exchange rate did.
There is no backlink index and no Content Explorer. That is a real gap, not a positioning choice, and it is worth being blunt about it: if backlink research is the core of how you work, Find Me First does not replace Ahrefs and you should keep your seat.
If what you actually open Ahrefs for is a rank check, a site audit and your Google Business Profile, then you are paying US$129 for the fraction of it you use. Check both vendors' own pricing pages before you decide.

No backlink index, no Content Explorer. The comparison above is on list price in each vendor's own currency; converted into Canadian dollars the gap is wider than the two numbers look.
